About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven Research Associate – GIS and Remote Sensing who will be responsible for Execution of GIS and Remote Sensing application projects.

Requirements
- Strong conceptual background of Remote Sensing (RS) and GIS and Application of RS,
Satellite image processing and GIS. - Good exposure to Open Source GIS platform and understanding of Python , R (R
studio) - Knowledge of contemporary advances in the Remote Sensing and GIS domain
- Knowledge of application of technology for relevant topical issues
- Satellite Image Processing
- Data extraction from Satellite Images, drone and other aerial data and also from
ancillary data - Building GIS database and integrating with attribute data from secondary sources
- Data compilation, Analysis and Report preparation
- Research on processing different types of satellite images
- Python scripting for customization of QGIS

- You enjoy performing server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
- You have experience monitoring datacenter health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
- You are willing to maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
- Like to interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups
